Jungle Trekking and Camping on Ho Chi Minh Trails

Experience the life of a Vietnamese soldier on the Ho Chi Minh trail. Camp one night in the remote jungle of the Living Valley where Viet Cong used to live during the war, with the opportunity to make your food and build your campsite along with our local team of guides and porters.

A part of the Ho Chi Minh trail is located in the Living Valley, a remote part of the world heritage Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, where you will hike along a small trail in the Vietnamese tropical forest. The tour requires a total of 16km of trekking in the jungle on the Ho Chi Minh trails experiencing the history of the Vietnamese war.

One night camping tour will involve the team work to prepare food, set up campsite, clean the camp and carry all the food and camping gear to the jungle, as the Vietnamese soldiers used to do. Our local porters will be your assistants and part of the team to carry equipment and show you how to survive in the jungle. Your English speaking guide will oversee the tour and help with any translation with the porter team who may not speak much English.

This tour is designed for family, friend groups or individuals who want to make friends and enjoy working as a team in the jungle

The tour starts at 08:00am in Phong Nha, where we will collect you from your accommodation,  and finishes around 16:00pm at Phong Nha on the second day.

The tour starts at the local market in Phong Nha where we get supplies, before heading to a local farm to catch chicken for dinner. We then trek to our campsite where there is a crystal clear natural spring to swim in at the entrance to Hang E cave. We set up camp on the beach, make a camp fire and prepare dinner, then enjoy some rice wine and good times with the local team of jungle men.
