Our homestay Community is based in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park 2 km from Son Trach and 45 km far from Dong Hoi city where all bus station, train station and airport are. The easiest and most comfortable way to get to us from Dong Hoi is to take a private car arranged by our homestay. By this way, you will be picked up on your arrival by our driver who will hold a sign with your name on it, thus you will easily recognize our driver. The private car will cost 600,000 VND and takes 45 minutes. The cheaper way is to hire a motorbike driver to drive you to Phong Nha if you don’t mind seating in he back of the motorbike for an hour. The motorbike should cost around 250,000 VND. Also, there are public buses which leave Dong Hoi city every hour starts at 5:00 a.m. The public bus costs 35,000 VND but take about 2 hours to get to Phong Nha.
From and to Hanoi
You can easily take the flight, bus or train to Dong Hoi. The night train is a good option as it is cheaper than the flight but comfortable. Soft sleeper train should costs around 700,000 VND. The buses called Hung Thanh travel, Camel, Queen which depart for Phong Nha everyday from Hanoi at around 6:00 p.m. These buses will arrive quite early at around 4:30 a.m. Vice versus, the buses will leave at about 9:30 p.m in Phong Nha for Hanoi
From and to Hue
Day train is a good choice if you want to see the landscape of the area between Hue and Quang Binh. To experience the Vietnamese local bus, please be at the Hue bus station before 11:30 a.m everyday for the bus to Phong Nha. The local bus names Phuc Vu which departs in Phong Nha for Hue at 5:00 a.m and Hue to Phong Nha at 11:30 a.m everyday. Or you also can jump on the open tour buses which depart in Hue at around 5:00 p.m for Phong Nha, estimated arrival time should be 9:00 p.m. If you ask for a private car from or to Hue, it will cost 2,300,000 VND.
From and to Danang or Hoian
Train departs everyday from Danang for Dong Hoi where you can choose the transport options above. There is also a local bus names Bao Vuong which departs for Phong Nha from Danang at 13:00 p.m everyday and leave Phong Nha for Danang at 5:00 a.m.The private car for Danang will cost 3,200,000 VND and 3,700,000 VND for Hoi An.
From and to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh city)
The best way is to take the flight with Vietnam airlines or Jetstar Pacific Airlines. It is about 1200 km from Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) to Quang Binh, thus train and bus will take about 24 hours. If you don’t mind about the time limit, train is also a good option for seeing the coast of Vietnam.
