Bong Lai Valley
The Phong Nha region’s quaint and pretty pastoral scenery is fantastic for exploring on two wheels, be it by motorbike or sturdy mountain bike. The vast, unwaveringly flat rice fields are sharply contrasted with rolling hills and towering karst. A great ride for fresh air and countryside is through the Bong Lai Valley, which has several charming, rustic watering holes along the way.
There are several restaurants to choose from along the way (The Pub With Cold Beer, The Duck Stop & Wild Boar Eco Farm), all of which are mentioned in things to do in Phong Nha. Each unique restaurant serves mouth watering food & has their own little twist to make your visit one of which you will remember for a lifetime.
The dirt road leading to Bong Lai Valley flirts with edges of a river & offers breath-taking view of farmland, river valley & rolling hills. To get to the entrance of Bong Lai Valley you will have to take the road running south off Ho Chi Minh Highway East, the turnoff leading to the valley itself is around six kilometres east of town.
